【摘要】:Thistestmethodiswidelyusedforspecificationpurposesandisconsideredofvalueinestimatingtheoxidationstabilityoflubricants,especiallythosethatarepronetowatercontamination.Itshouldberecognized,however,thatcorrelationbetweenresultsofthismethodandtheoxidationstabilityofalubricantinfieldservicemayvarymarkedlywithfieldserviceconditionsandwithvariouslubricants.Theprecisionstatementforthismethodwasdeterminedonsteamturbineoils.Note18212;Furthermore,inthecourseoftestingalubricantbythismethod,othersignsofdeterioration,suchassludgeformationorcatalystcoilcorrosion,mayappearthatarenotreflectedinthecalculatedoxidationlifetime.Thesubcommitteeresponsibleforthismethodisinvestigatingtheapplicationofalternativecriteriaforevaluationoflubricantsusingthistestapparatus.TestMethodD4310isnowavailableforsludgemeasurement.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationofoxidationstabilityofinhibitedsteam-turbineoilsinthepresenceofoxygen,water,andcopperandironmetalsatanelevatedtemperature.Thetestmethodisalsousedfortestingotheroilssuchashydraulicoilsandcirculatingoilshavingaspecificgravitylessthanthatofwaterandcontainingrustandoxidationinhibitors.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificwarningstatements,seeSection6.
